You missed the mangle glyph, gives you 6 more seconds on your mangle (12 -> 18 seconds). Very important for cat dps too.

Jacemora

I am pretty certain the maul one is correct, it will hit 2 targets instead of one.

Willowbear

I agree with Jacemora. Once they changed swipe to hit unlimited targets the original glyph became pointless. I'm guessing at that point they decided to substitute maul.

I haven't read a lot about glyphs and where they are applied. Is it to armor or is there just one set of slots per character? It would be nice if you could have a PvP set and a PvE set of glyphs.

Karthis

I'd grab the Glyph of Mangle as a priority for DPS.... you want to use Mangle as little as possible, presumably - and the glyph helps that a lot. None of the majors are really well suited to tanking, sadly.

Flyv

Sorry guys, I left the Glyph of Mangle out on purpose. It requires Inscription 375 and my understanding will only be available in WotLK, not 3.0. I'm also not convinced it's an essential Glyph; it just increases the debuff duration. Will be useful for cat DPS, but unless bear mechanics have changed radically you'll still be mangling as often as you can. As for WotLK glyphs, even more exciting is the Glyph of Growl: +8% chance for Growl to hit. Again, I don't think it will be available Tuesday.

Interesting that Maul will hit two targets. That seems very powerful. I wonder if it will be smart about not breaking CC?

Willowbear: my understanding is Glyphs are a per-character thing and that changing them consumes the old ones, just like gems. I'm really curious how often people will be changing glyphs; that affects whether inscriptions will be a profitable profession or not. Jewelcrafting makes great money because gems get consumed so often.

Karthis

I saw Growl, but didn't think that was all that good. How often do you miss a Growl? Personally, maybe once an instance. I guess if there are a lot of tauntable raid bosses it would be a worthwhile pick-up....

Flyv

The problem with Growl missing is that you can seldom afford for it to miss when it does. The main reason I shove +hit gear into my tanking outfits is for Growl to work. The second time I wiped on Nalorakk because my Growl missed/dodged/parried was enough.

with challenging roar going down to 3 minutes, I think this isn't quite as special as it used to be. Mostly though, with all the +hit that ferals are going to be forced to have on their leather gear (thank you, rogues) the chances of missing are going to be pretty slim.

Wiping on Brutallus because of a resisted taunt does indeed suck.

Quick update: Glyph of Maul does indeed let your maul hit two targets. It's very powerful. Glyph of Challenging Roar looks to be the most useful of the minor glyphs. Also Glyph of Unburdened Rebirth is a modestly useful minor glyph, it's like a free bag slot.

As for 1g an herb being expensive; the price on my realm has shot up to 5g / herb for the level 200ish herbs. Glad I got in early!
