Does Claw have any purpose for feral druids? It still seems worse in every way than Mangle; did I miss anything in 3.0?

It's your primary DPS skill pre-mangle. So it plays a huge role in leveling up.

It also works for restos/balance in kitty form as a combo point builder.

I forgot to qualify: if you have Mangle, does Claw have any purpose?

I used it on Kael while wielding Infinity Blades so I'd do less damage while I broke their MC, but other than that it's has no use over Mangle. It's been this way since Mangle has been around as far as I know.

It's an idiot test for feral cats : )
Blizz employees probably use it as a filter for who they don't want to group with.
